Not French Fries Potatoes-For the crispers kids

Baking the potatoes in the oven gives a crusted peel which tasted a lot like French fries, but no OIL!!

Oven-roasted potatoes:

  • Preheat oven to 425.
  • Wash potatoes well (any potatoes can do; red potatoes are excellent)

Do NOT peel

  • Cut in approximately 1-inch squares
  • Sprinkle with olive oil to give a good coating to potatoes.
  • Place in container and season to your taste with: salt, paprika (may add mixture of smoked and regular), parsley (may add other herbs such as tarragon, savory, marjoram, thyme midway through baking), and garlic.

Mix well.

  • Place on cookie tray and bake for about 40 minutes.

Potatoes should be crispy but not too crispy, and soft on the inside.

You can add grated cheese or whatever condiments your child prefers
